WHY SHOULD I SUPPORT THE CHOIR?

The experiences a boy receives while participating in the Land of Lakes Choirboys are unique. All of our members learn how to sing, participate in a group and receive lessons in manners, behavior and honor. We demand, and expect, a very high level of behavior and manners from our members because of their exposure to different people throughout the world. Actual classes are taught in an ‘old style’ of manners such as door holding, hat removal and table etiquette. The Choir conducts leadership programs and holds classes in communicating, shaking hands, proper grooming, appropriate behavior and the meaning of ‘honor’. The Choir has re-introduced the words ‘yes’, ‘no’, ‘please’, ‘thank you’, ‘sir’ and ‘ma’am’ back into the English language!

When we tour our members have the opportunity to stay with families in the places we visit. Through these home stays, our boys get an inside look into the different cultures of the United States as well as other cultures throughout the world. These experiences help our members understand the cultural differences in the United States and the world.

With every organization there are expenses for the experiences they provide. The Land of Lakes Choirboys is no different. Throughout the history of the choir we have been able to keep our traveling and touring expenses down by staying with families on our tours and not in hotels. However, traveling across the country and throughout the world is still expensive. Your donation will not only help pay the general operating expenses, but will help give our members these life changing experiences.
