PLANNED GIVING PROGRAM

When planning your will or estate, please remember the Land of Lakes Choirboys with a bequest. Your thoughtfulness will ensure the future of the Land of Lakes Choirboys for generations to come.

To aide you in this endeavor we have an attorney that has volunteered to prepare a simple ‘Codicil’ to your will at no charge when the Land of Lakes Choirboys is named. (A codicil is a document that amends, rather than replaces, a previously executed will.)

Future Gifts to Consider:

Wills – By naming the Land of Lakes Choirboys as a beneficiary, donors may identify a specific dollar amount or percentage of assets to be donated upon passing.

Life Insurance – Donors may earn tax benefits by naming the Land of Lakes Choirboys as owner of a new or existing policy, or by naming the Land of Lakes Choirboys as a policy beneficiary.

Donor-Advised Funds – Donors who wish to be actively involved with charitable activities as a key advisor may create their own tax-deductible grant-making fund.

Charitable Gift Annuities – Donors may earn an income tax deduction and lifetime annuity payments by making a permanent gift of cash or stock to the Land of Lakes Choirboys.

Charitable Remainder Trusts – A special tax-exempt, irrevocable arrangement whereby donors transfer cash or assets to a trust account and receive income for life or other stated period of time. Trust accounts are eventually transferred to the Land of Lakes Choirboys' general operating and/or endowment to accomplish your charitable goals.

Anyone that informs the Choir that it is part of their will and/or estate plan will be recognized in our promotional materials as a Planned Giving Donor from then on, and a plaque will be awarded to you in the concert season that you inform the Choir of your gift. In addition, a picture of the donor and/or donors (with permission) will be placed in our ‘Planned Giving Gallery’.
